Friends, 😘😘
We bring you excellent news at a good time; what better way to prepare for the African Podcast and Voice Awards?
What is “Utukufu“
May 25th is the annual celebration of African independence and freedom. It commemorates the first union of African nations on African soil, which took place on May 25, 1963.
"Utukufu," the premise of this program, means Glory or Glorious in Swahili, "Utukufu" is set to be the beginning of a yearly occasion to celebrate the continent of Africa, its rich culture, and its diversity. What better way to honor Africa than by showcasing its variety of creatives?
Through the most inspiring, informative, and engaging dialogues about the creative industry and a virtual poetry contest to add some zest 🤓, APVA seeks to promote African voices and inspire us to own and be unified in our own successes and challenges.
