VOICEOVER UPDATES
Warning Against Devaluation and Exploitation in the Nigeria Voiceover Industry - AVOA
The Association of Voiceover Artistes Nigeria (AVOA) has raised concerns over a growing trend of agencies and clients offering extremely low rates—some as low as ₦10,000—to voice artists. The association strongly condemns this practice, stating that it undermines industry standards and devalues the work of professional voice talents.
According to AVOA, the official standard rate for voiceovers in Nigeria starts at ₦100,000, and anything significantly lower not only shortchanges artists but also weakens efforts to regulate and professionalize the industry.
