CANEX Shorts; Call for Applications
The African Export-Import Bank, through its Creative Africa Nexus (CANEX) program, is excited to announce a short film competition and screening initiative, CANEX Shorts. CANEX Shorts is an exciting and dynamic competition for young filmmakers to be acknowledged for their work as well as to secure the opportunity to attend and be showcased at CANEX at IATF2023.
Filmmakers between the ages of 18 and 29 are invited to submit their films no longer than 5 minutes via Filmfreeway in order to be considered for selection. A selection of films, curated by the selection committee, will be sent to the jury who will then select a short list of 10 films that will all be screened during the CANEX at IATF2023. From the shortlist, 3 winners -one in each category will be selected:
● Best Feature
● Best Documentary
● Best Animation

The awards are open to women and people of diverse genders worldwide, and you can enter up to a 10-minute audio clip in any of the categories.
Call For Podcasters
Hexa Media recently launched the "The Humanitarians Of Africa Awards" to celebrate African nonprofits doing great work for humanity. They are podcasters the opportunity to share the work that they do with more people.
They want to partner with a few podcasters who would be willing to interview their award winners and share about the work they do and the impact they are making in their countries. In exchange, they will assist in publicizing the episode and naming them as their media partners for the awards this year.

Mary-Ann enjoys being in front of the camera as a presenter and model and behind it as a photographer. She dreams of traveling the world and wants to play an active role in helping young people from townships find value in themselves.
